When shooting stills or video outside in sunshine, we've always had to resort to using pressing eyes against viewfinders. We were on location shooting out of doors in rare N Carolina sunshine. We had no problem seeing what were were shooting along with the camera data. We ended up shooting for nearly 3 hrs and the battery indicator still showed a full charge using a Sony FP970.
