The snag was that I couldn't change it from Read Only. 3. I switched on the Windows 10 Administrator Account and used that. (?) 4. I opened Notepad with Administrator privileges. (Windows start bar search, "Notepad". When it comes up, right click and Run as administrator.) (Important - I wasted an hour fiddling with settings before I did this) 5. I opened and saved the file under a new name, just in case. 6. I reopened TouchSettings.gt and pasted in the /u/MeKingKong's version from the bottom of this Reddit thread(
saved it. 7. Restarted Windows.(?) 8. Used Windows startbar search to find Calibrate the screen for pen and touch. 9. In that window, hit the Reset button (important) then clicked Calibrate and followed the instructions.
The screen of course then rotated 90 degrees! 10. Right-clicked the screen, selected Display. Found the Orientation field and changed it to Portrait (which seems wrong, but there it is). Now I have a working touchscreen. 展开
