A Little Bit About Dave... When you're not working, how do you like to spend your time?
Flying my aircraft, alongside my wife. I own a British built aircraft that’s now incredibly 50 years old! We love to fly about. Im also a Class Rating Instructor and fly close Formation and Aerobatics. We also organise a yearly fly-in event to our airfield and raise money for the local air ambulance.
-
What are you reading currently?
Wings on my Sleeve, by Captain Eric “Winkle” Brown. Incredible life history of a man who I had the privilege to listen to speak some years ago.
-
What’s the first concert you attended?
Tangerine Dream at the Brighton Centre, back in 1980.
-
What's one thing about you that surprises people?
I actually survived a plane crash. Yep - on my second solo, I ended up crashing into a swamp. I survived and didn’t get eaten by alligators either. I was flying again two days later.
