When your lights are waterproof, you can go anywhere. A client once told me about his trekking stories, it was a 3 day forest race. So they had to keep going even during the night. It was so dark, you couldn’t see your own hands even if they were in front of your face. They had lights and headlamps. Then it started to rain. It ruins everything if you’re not prepared. 2 of their team mates lost their flashlights. One was because it wasn’t water proof it shorted out after get...ting soaked. The second lost his when he slid 10 meters down the muddy trail. The light dropped, hit a rock, turned off and they couldn’t find it again. There are 2 lessons to be learnt here, your lights must be IPX rated at least against rain, and impact resistant to avoid situations like this. The latest #MH12GTS models are completely waterproof down to 1.5m, using a 3rd generation micro usb charging port that’s waterproof. And of course, it’s drop resistant. The next batch will be arriving in 2 weeks. If you’re traveling over the new year, don’t leave home without a capable light.
