5 in 1 kit is very different from 3 in 1 fan kit. there are two things added in . the remote controller and the connection box. so, when you bought additional fans want to sync them together, you have to buy 1 set 5 in 1 kit at least , cuz we need the connection box to connect other fans. please leave you question .. i know it sounds very complecated ...
